These Cow dung cakes are made from Desi cows dung (Naatu Aavu). Desi Avu Pidakalu are made from pure desi (native) cow dung, traditionally prepared and sun-dried following age-old Indian practices. They are considered highly auspicious and have been used for centuries in pujas, homams, havans, and daily spiritual rituals.
When burned, desi avu pidakalu release natural smoke that helps in purifying the surroundings, creating a calm, positive, and sattvic atmosphere at home. Traditionally, this smoke is believed to reduce negative energies, repel insects, and support overall environmental hygiene.
Unlike chemical-based incense or fuels, native cow dung cakes are eco-friendly, natural, and non-toxic, making them ideal for regular spiritual use. They are especially preferred during festivals, vrathams, griha pravesham, and temple rituals.
